Wow, Carole defended Paul Mac, accused as abusive toward his wife, with saying the wife should get a slap in the face! That is really awful and remarkable. Afterall this is the woman who wrote HHMAIFLAK, and there are so many repressed S&M moments in Goffin King songs, that it makes you go Hmmmm.... That was so wrong of her, IMHO. I always thought Paul looked like an alcoholic, closet case, IMHO.

I'm also a little bit

Does it even matter what the truth is? I don't think there is anyway to explain this blooper but apologize. You don't counter a woman who claims abuse by threatening her with more, unless you are some @#%$ up redneck from Appalachia.

Paul McCartney will pay estranged wife Heather Mills £120million ($235 million) in a secret divorce settlement, it has been reported.
The former Beatles legend has been convinced to agree to the deal by his fashion designer daughter Stella, who is worried about his mental and physical health. A source told Britains News of the World newspaper: Stella told Paul: If this goes on it could kill you. Being happy is more important than money. Paul had a heart scare earlier this year and has been in therapy since he split from the former model in May. It has been reported that Heather will be publicly awarded £10million, most of which she will donate to charity. However, Paul will privately hand Heather £120million, which includes £3million a year for the divorce settlement and £2million a year in maintenance for their three-year-old daughter Beatrice. The staggering fee also includes £3million for their English homes, an £8million fund for homes in the US and Europe and £2million towards staff fees and general expenses. The source added: Its a done deal and Paul is relieved. Heather, 38, was seen filming inside the London home she shared with Paul last week. Heather spent two hours at the £5 million St Johns Wood mansion, videoing the contents of every room before leaving with two suitcases filled with clothes. The footage is rumoured to be for use during her upcoming divorce battle, but Heathers spokesperson insists she was filming the paparazzi following her. |

That was a shocker, since Carole has always been SO polically correct when speaking with the press. Hell, if she's speaking her mind these days, I'd like to know her thoughts on Rose and The Donald.

Did anyone watch that Australian TV interview with Carole? She talked about the "slap" comment and didn't retract it. She also looked exhausted and the clip of her singing "Pleasant Valley"
was not her finest moment. Guess she's just human after all. Gosh! |

Actually Carole has not always been so politically correct. Might I mention "Where You Lead" smack in the middle of the Feminist Movement? And I have read a couple of Press things (more street level publications like Details, The New Yorker, The Observer) that have made me wince. One had Carole in a Blackglama coat in a doorway in Harlem for the CityStreets shoot having crack vials swept away for said shoot. The persona is part of the King magic.
